Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. The service
Maed Digital (“we”, “us”), operated by Maed Digital, lets hotels, restaurants and cafés create a digital menu website with a printable QR code and manage it through an online dashboard. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
- You must be authorised to act for the business you sign up for.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date, including a working phone number.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Free trial and subscription
- New accounts get a free trial of 14 days. No payment is needed to start.
- After the trial, continued editing requires a paid plan: 3,000 ETB per month, 9,000 ETB for 6 months, 15,000 ETB for a year. We may change prices for future periods and will tell you before a new price applies to you.
- You pay by mobile money or bank transfer and send us the receipt through the Billing page. When we confirm the payment, your plan runs for the length you paid for (1, 6 or 12 months) from confirmation, or from the end of your current paid period if you pay early.
- If your trial or subscription ends, your public menu stays visible but you cannot edit it until you subscribe. We may deactivate and delete accounts that stay unpaid for 90 days, and we will try to contact you first.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where we failed to provide the service.
4. Your content
- You own your menu content, logo and photos. You give us permission to store, process and display them to provide the service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of prices, descriptions and allergen or dietary information, and for having the right to use every image you upload.
- Guests who use your contact form are sending messages to you. You are responsible for how you handle them.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful. In particular, do not impersonate another business, upload content you have no right to use, send spam, or try to access other customers’ data or disrupt the service. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
6. QR codes and menu addresses
Your menu has its own web address and a QR code that points to it. We will keep existing menu addresses working for as long as the service operates, even if we move to a different domain. If we ever close the service we will give you at least 30 days’ notice.
7. Availability
We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. The service relies on third-party providers (hosting, database, image storage), and outages or maintenance may occur.
8. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. On ending, your public menu is taken offline.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email, phone message or in the dashboard. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Ethiopia.
